Money Recovery
Civil recovery suits for amounts owed under contracts, agreements, cheque bounce (summary suit under Order XXXVII CPC), or unpaid invoices may be filed before the appropriate civil court. Recovery of smaller amounts may be pursued before the appropriate Magistrate under the relevant law.
Injunctions — Temporary and Permanent
Injunctions are sought to prevent an immediate or ongoing wrong — for example, stopping a threatened trespass, preventing disposal of assets in fraud of creditors, or halting construction on disputed land. Temporary injunctions are decided at an early stage; permanent injunctions are decided at final hearing.
Declaratory Suits
Where a party needs a court's declaration of their legal status or rights — for example, declaration of ownership, declaration that a document is void, or declaration of legal heirship — a declaratory suit may be filed.
Succession Certificate and Legal Heirship
